Admitting It

Characters: Riluke
Warnings: References to parental death/murder
Riluke is a great deal like her aunt. Both have a natural talent and superb skill for reading and manipulating people. Both use that skill every day, to further their nation’s interests—and their own. Each is fiercely protective of the people she values. Neither is afraid to get her hands dirty when the situation warrants it.
Years after her father’s murder, after working closely with Kesshare, Riluke grudgingly admits the similarity, and will even own that there is much in her aunt to be admired, if never loved.
But only to herself, whispered in the dark of the night.
