Characters: Taz and Kes Hantree
Warnings: Piracy
Kes sped them forward--she wasn't a lightning-mage, able to call up storms and read the skies for navigation, but she could pull a damn fine wind when she needed to.
Taz held the target in place, so they couldn't take the same advantage and escape the Emerald Star. At this distance, it was a strain, but she held it.
Piracy was exciting, was a rush, was a good way to keep fed and provisioned. Taz and Kes were more than willing to help their Captain. Some might call it unfair, but they loved being the Star's advantage in competition.
