Taz and Dallu

this is what is perfect
the sea, the open sky, and you--
your hand on my back,
standing by my side,
our faces to the wind,
travelling the world
together.


Nolani and Lonura

this is what is perfect
hearing the sunrise in your voice
and watching it dance
with your reflection in the walls.
it doesn't matter if it doesn't last forever
because forever is this moment
with the sunrise
and with you.


Sorell and Nida

this is what is perfect.
loving every breath of you,
the sweet soaring sound of your voice,
the way your hand touches mine
when we go to sleep,
the something behind your eyes
i can't quite identify.
but most important,
just having you next to me
when i wake up in the morning.


Ineku and Kesshare

this is what is perfect.
the sand trailing between my fingers
like your hair, like your spirit,
unbreakable,
finding its way into every crevice.
i know you will shape the world
with me
and i believe in you.

knowing that there are no secrets.
knowing that there are no fears.
knowing that there are no obstacles.
knowing that you are,
in every facet of your being,
despite the dangers,
