Story: Flowers
Rating: G
Characters: Dallu
It isn't that there are no flowers here at home. There are; bright and beautiful ones, covering the tundra in summer.
But outside of the North, there are so many, and especially in the Islands--ah, the Islands, the home of my beloved, they have such a profusion in such a variety of colors, it's almost overwhelming at first.
I brought some back with us, dried and pressed roses and hibiscus, and hung them in our home. They're not quite as bright, and they've lost their scent, and they crumble to the touch, but they remain beautiful, and I love them.
