Keta stepped into the Archives, sending up dust that, together with the musty old-book smell, made her nose itch just this side of sneezing.
It was perfect.
It was away from the sadness 'cause the baby had died, and her brothers would never bother her here, and there hadn't been an Archivist since Daddy's grandpa had been King, and...
And all the worlds she could possibly want to play in were here, for the taking.
All she had to do was find them.
She tiptoed through waterfalls of dust, picked a shelf, and began.
