Characters: Mel, Isshiri
Warnings: References to sex and sexuality stereotypes of a particular nation.
Notes: This takes place in the Gay Isshiri AU.
Sleeping with Isshiri was nothing like what Mel had imagined. The sex was good--very good, in the way only being in love with your partner could make it, but Isshiri had actually been a virgin, which went contrary to everything Mel know about the City of Glass and their sexual practices.
Which wasn't necessarily a bad thing, just...unexpected. After all, Mel could easily remember his own first time and...well, he was glad he could at least try to make it less awkward for Isshiri.
Isshiri was always warm, which--yes, they'd touched before, in the basic, casual-contact sort of way that happens when working together, but the weather had been so terrible that winter, cold and sleeting and not even a pretty winter, that he was pretty sure Isshiri hadn't been that warm then. Because it was even when they weren't making love, but after, when they were sleeping, that Isshiri was a little ball of warmth, of sunshine, nestled against him.
But the most surprising thing was how still Isshiri was when he slept, the complete opposite of when he was awake, where he never stopped moving. It was as if a switch got flipped as soon as he got comfortable. Which, again, wasn't a problem--Mel had had bed partners who were restless enough to bruise, and it was not fun--it was just the contrast that surprised him.
So, no, despite daydreaming about it for years, the actual details of sleeping with Isshiri in no way lined up with his expectations. He pretty much exceeded them in every way.
